Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has played down rumours linking him with a move from West London to Manchester United, describing the speculation as “rubbish”.
The England international dismissed the claims over the weekend following the Blues’ victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
Last month, reports surfaced suggesting Palmer might return to Manchester in the summer, this time joining the “Red” side of the city.
The 23-year-old midfielder originally progressed through Manchester City’s youth academy, making 41 appearances for their first team and netting six goals.
Since joining Chelsea in 2023, his output has been world-class, racking up 51 goals and 31 assists in just 114 matches.

On Saturday, Palmer starred in the Blues’ 3-1 win against Wolves at Molineux.
He opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a penalty, before doubling his tally from the spot in the 35th minute.
After his third goal, he performed his signature ‘Cold’ celebration before gesturing to his ears in front of the home crowd.
According to Goal, when questioned about his future at Stamford Bridge after the match, he insisted that he pays no mind to the gossip:
“Everyone loves to chat rubbish, don’t they? I don’t pay much attention to it. You see things, but I feel like I’ve already come from a strong position, so I don’t focus on that,” Palmer said.
