Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter Noor has paid a touching tribute to her father who passed away at 82 on Sunday in far away London.
Buhari died on July 13 in a hospital in the British hospital called The London Clinic, prompting a wave of mourning across Nigeria. He was buried on July 15 in his hometown Daura, in Katsina.
Noor shared her own grief in a heartfelt Instagram story.
“I’m heartbroken that we won’t get to share the moments and experiences I had planned for us,” she wrote.
“I’ll always carry your memory with me. I pray that you’re granted the highest place in Jannah, and your soul rests in eternal peace Daddy.”
Her message comes amid tributes from North and South, including a three-day prayer session in Bauchi by an Islamic school, underscoring the depth of public mourning for the late military dictator later elected civilian autocrat.
