His confirmation of his exit from the Etihad comes three days after Man City were beaten to the 2025–26 Premier League title by Arsenal.

Guardiola’s men’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night meant the Gunners were crowned champions for the first time in 22 years.

Speaking about his departure, Guardiola noted that he had a good time at City, but urged fans not to inquire about his reasons for quitting.

“Don’t ask me the reasons I’m leaving.

“There is no reason, but deep inside, I know it’s my time.”

Guardiola departs the Etihad after a decade, even though he has one year left on his current contract.

The 55-year-old, who won a cup double in his final campaign, picked up 20 trophies, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy, during his time at the club.
