Bill to make UNIMEDTH Ondo as full fledged state teaching hospital facility underway

A bill to amend the establishment of University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH), Ondo has got to second reading at he Ondo State House of Assembly.
The bill when passed will make the Institution to become full-fledged State Teaching Hospital facility.
During plenary session at the floor of the House today in Akure, the Speaker Rt. Hon. OLUMIDE Oladeji directs that the House adhoc committee on health, Hon. Ogunlana Christopher, Irele state constituency to make necessary recommendations and appropriate consideration to the House latest 28th day of May, 2025.
According to investigation, the amendment on the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (UNIMEDTH) Ondo bill of 2019 will now give sole autonomy to UNIMEDTH Ondo as the full fledged state teaching hospital facility with all other percusite.
