Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has said his team will remain focused despite edging a Week 29 English Premier League (EPL) encounter against Brighton 1-0 at the Amex to open up a seven-point gap at the summit.

The Spanish tactician made this known on Wednesday night while speaking with TNT Sports after the game.

The Gunners dug deep to pull off the narrow victory on a night when their nearest rivals, Manchester City, were held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest at the Etihad.

Bukayo Saka, who captained Arsenal during the match, scored what proved to be the winner in the 9th minute.

While analysing the match, Arteta said: “This was a really difficult one after everything we’ve been through in the last few weeks.

“Every game in the Premier League offers you different things. Big credit to the boys because the effort they put in is astronomical.”

Meanwhile, the Opta Supercomputer has updated its predictions for the Premier League title race following a dramatic round of fixtures on Wednesday.

It increased the probability of Arsenal winning the title to 92.84% following their hard-fought win against Brighton.

Opta gave City, who have a game in hand, a 7.16% chance after their home draw against Forest.

Manchester United and Aston Villa, who lost to Newcastle United and Chelsea respectively, have seen their chances pegged at zero.
