Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Neymar Jr will play in the South American side’s final World Cup group fixture against Scotland, after missing their opening two matches.
He made this known on Saturday while speaking after Brazil defeated Haiti in their second game of the tournament, played at the Philadelphia Stadium.
Neymar has been recovering from a calf injury sustained before the World Cup began earlier this month.

The Santos forward missed Brazil’s 1-1 draw with North African side Morocco, as well as the 3-0 victory over North American representatives Haiti in the early hours of today.
Speaking after a brace from Matheus Cunha and a further goal from Vinicius Jr ensured they won their second group game comfortably, Ancelotti noted that Neymar will be fit for the final match.
During his post-match interview after defeating Haiti, the Italian tactician, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, said: “Neymar will train individually tomorrow, then Sunday back training with the team, and then called up against Scotland.”
Neymar remains Brazil’s all-time top scorer for the national team, with 79 goals to his name so far.
