Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, has made it clear to the Banyana Banyana of South Africa that the Nigerian ladies are battle ready.
She made this known ahead of Nigeria’s semi-final clash against South Africa in the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The nine-time champions have exhibited the two sides of their game at the tournament so far.
Justine Madugu’s side have scored the highest number of goals in the competition (nine) and are the only team yet to concede a goal.

However, after defeating Tunisia 3-0 in their first group game, they wobbled in the other two matches against Botswana and Algeria before proving their class by walloping a highly-rated Copper Queens of Zambia 5-0 in the quarter-final.
They will now rekindle rivalry with holders, Banyana Banyana in what is expected to be a thrilling contest.
The game is slated for the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca on Tuesday (today) and will start at 5 p.m. Nigerian time.
Speaking ahead of the encounter,
Ajibade said the Super Falcons live for moments like this.
“These are the kind of games we want to play. Getting to the semifinal shows the effort the team put into every game. We try to improve ourselves in each match,” she told CAFonline.
