Prophet Rolex apologizes to TMT Travels visa fraud victims

Odunze Anthony, popularly known as Prophet Rolex, has apologized to victims of the TMT Travels and Tours visa fraud who may have learned about the agency through his endorsements.
In an apology video shared on his Facebook page, Prophet Rolex acknowledged that he served as an ambassador for the agency between 2022 and 2024 and promoted its services on his platform. However, he denied having any knowledge of the alleged fraud scheme.
According to him, he conducted checks to confirm the legitimacy of the agency before signing his ambassadorship contract. He said that after confirming that the company was legally registered, he decided to work with them.
In a statement from his legal team, which he also shared on his Facebook page, Rolex reiterated that he only advertised for the company and that he was not directly involved in the agency’s visa processing or financial transactions.
“Our client has never participated in the processing of visas, collection of clients’ funds, handling of clients’ applications, or any transaction between TMT Travels and Tours and members of the public.”
He further assured victims that they would receive their money back, given the appropriate authorities handling the matter.
However, following the release of his apology video, social media influencer VeryDarkMan criticized Rolex, describing the apology as “fake.”
VDM alleged that Rolex had ignored complaints from victims in the past and only addressed the situation after the CEO of TMT Travels was arrested.
“The only reason he is apologizing is because the CEO has been arrested. When these people were complaining then about the fraud scheme, he didn’t address anything.”
VeryDarkMan also identified two other influencers whom he said helped expand the agency’s reach: Nigerian comedian and actor Osinachi Dike, popularly known as Apama Nolly, and Okwuluara Ndi Igbo, a personality known for his influence in eastern Nigeria.
VDM alleged that some influencers don’t use or verify the products and services they promote before endorsing them. He further advised Nigerians to conduct proper checks before trusting celebrities or influencers’ endorsements.
