Afrobeat star, Charles Onyeabor, hails fans after selling out Italy’s iconic Hard Rock Café

Charles Onyeabor, the Italian-Nigerian singer and son of Afro-funk legend William Onyeabor, has expressed his delight after selling out the iconic Hard Rock Café during his performance in Firenze, Italy.

The Europe-based Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, during the show which was held on October 24, delivered a distinct performance that seamlessly blended Afrobeat, soul, funk, and modern rhythms.

While serenading the audience with hit tracks such as “Ifenkili,” “As e dey play, e dey show,” and his recent club anthem “Cho Cho Cho,” Charles commanded the stage with a magnetic presence that had them dancing from start to finish.

The night also featured a stellar lineup of guest performances, including DJ Obas, DJ Top Gee, UK-based Afrobeat personality Adesope Olajide (Shopsydoo), Henry Afrobeat Rome, Young Game, and Pharrow, among others.

Speaking after the show, Charles Onyeabor expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans and team.

He said, “This night means everything to me. To see people from different cultures come together to celebrate Afrobeat and my music is humbling. I’m grateful for the love, and I promise this is only the beginning.”
