Nollywood actress and movie producer Sandra Okunzuwa has revealed that her ex-boyfriend called off their relationship after viewing a scene where she kissed an actor in a film.
She made this known recently while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the BTS Reality podcast.
According to the thespian, her former lover took the decision to walk away after someone allegedly sent him a clip of her kissing a male colleague during a film production.
Recalling the saga, Okunzuwa blamed his actions on insecurity, wondering why he would end a relationship over a mere on-screen kiss.
The movie star further stressed that actors do not enjoy kissing each other on set and wouldn’t mind avoiding such scenes entirely if it were possible.

She, however, noted that she does not blame people who choose not to date actors because of on-screen kissing, saying, “Everyone has to choose what they can tolerate in a partner.”
Speaking on the programme, Okunzuwa said: “When actors kiss while filming, there are about 20 people watching them, and instructions are also being dished out to them. Even the AC will be turned off, and the director will be monitoring and instructing them all the way through. So how can anyone be in the mood or turned on in such conditions and environments?
“On-screen kisses are not even enjoyable. If it were possible for them to be scrapped and viewers would still enjoy movies, then I am in support. Romantic scenes affect our personal relationships because some partners might get jealous.”
She added: “I once lost a relationship because someone sent my ex-boyfriend a scene from a movie where I kissed an actor. At the time, I felt his reaction came from a place of insecurity. But honestly, it is not easy. I don’t blame people who say they can’t date actors because everyone has to choose what they can tolerate in a partner.”
She concluded by urging the public to bear in mind that actors play characters on screen and not their real selves, adding that it is vital for movie stars to separate their private lives from their professional careers.
