Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter Alexander Adelabu, better known as Magixx, has described the passing of his mother as one of the most painful experiences of his life so far.
The Mavin Records signee made this known in a recent tribute shared on his verified social media handle while announcing the death of his mother, simply identified as Esther.
He recalled how his late mum supported her family and helped others, describing her as a strong woman who continued to show love and kindness even while dealing with illness.
While admitting that he was still struggling to accept the reality, Magixx wrote: “I have never felt pain like this. Never been this lost. Still processing that this is real. Can’t believe this happened to you, Mom.”

He added, “You are my reason, my why, my guardian, my twin, my everything.”
The 26-year-old artist went on to eulogise his mother for her free spirit, wit, and kindness, saying those who came into contact with her were easily drawn to her personality.
He further expressed regret that he could not tell her one more time in person how much he loved her and added that he would choose her as his mother again in every lifetime.
Known for his distinct vocals and versatile style, Magixx rose to prominence with hit tracks like ‘Love Don’t Cost a Dime (Re-Up)’ featuring Ayra Starr.
