Vinicius Jr, who joined Spanish giants Real Madrid in July 2018 as an 18-year-old, will now remain at the Santiago Bernabéu until 30 June 2032.

Brazilian international Vinicius Jr has explained why he extended his contract with La Liga giants Real Madrid for another six years despite interest from other clubs.
The 26-year-old winger justified the decision in a recent post shared on his Instagram story while speaking for the first time since signing the contract.
Real Madrid on Thursday released a statement confirming that the club has reached an agreement with Vinicius to extend his deal.
The Brazil forward’s future had remained uncertain, particularly as he was entering the final months of his previous contract.

Premier League champions Arsenal were very keen on Vinicius Jr, as Mikel Arteta had identified the player to bolster his left wing.
Although Vinicius Jr was believed to be open to a move to the North London outfit, he ultimately agreed fresh terms with Madrid.
Reacting to the extension, the Brazilian claimed eight years with Los Blancos was too short, adding that he wants to continue playing for the club for the long haul.
“Eight years at the Bernabéu is too short… six more years and forever,” Vinicius wrote.
