Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has finally reacted to Christian Nørgaard’s exit from the North London outfit, admitting it was difficult to let the Danish midfielder go.
The 44-year-old Spanish tactician made this known recently as quoted by Arsenal’s website.
On Wednesday, the Gunners announced that the 32-year-old has joined Everton on a permanent transfer via a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Nørgaard made 20 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal as they won their first Premier League title in 22 years last season.

The former Brentford midfielder and captain was, however, limited to just seven league starts during their title-winning campaign.
Speaking after the Danish international committed his future to the Toffees, Arteta appreciated what he “brought to the club”.
He said, “I am very thankful for what he brought to the club, how he helped us to win.
“It was difficult to let him go. I understand it’s a stage in his career that he needs to play and fulfil, as well, all their dreams, but [we are] forever thankful.”
