Mercy Eke blames single status on fame after BBNaija

​Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner, Mercy Eke, has expressed regret over her participation in the reality show, blaming her inability to settle down on her fame.

​She made this known recently during an emotional interview with Nigerian radio personality and television host, Toke Makinwa.

​Speaking about her romantic experiences and her struggle to find a life partner after the show, she noted that her celebrity status had negatively impacted her prospects of tying the knot.

​Reflecting on how fame has affected her marriage prospects, the reality star said that despite supporting men financially, it had not led to a stable relationship.

​Recounting the negative impact of the show, she said, “I regret going to Big Brother even though I love the benefits that come from it. I dey fall in love like mumu, now I said to myself that I want to marry, I want to marry but it’s not easy.
