NCS football team secures quarter-finals ticket

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) football team continues to dominate the ongoing Maritime Cup 2023 Competitions

In a thrilling encounter against Blueche Lomado in Lagos, the NCS team imposed its authority in a 6-1 victory, thereby securing a spot in the quarter-finals to maintain its status as a veritable force in Nigerian football.

According to Akinwale Fatoki, Superintendent of Customs, Public Relations Officer, Staff College in a press release said the game produced a spectacular goal in the 15th minute as Superintendent of Customs Peter Tangulu, scored another goal.

“The NCS team continued to exhibit its prowess as Assistant Superintendent of Customs I Bamidele Omodara scored a goal in the 48th minute.

The momentum didn’t stop there, as Assistant Superintendent of Customs II Munkiala Abubakar and SC Buhari Sani scored goals in the 56th, 68th minutes, respectively.”

According to the statement, the victory not only highlights the NCS’s football expertise but also underscores their place in the Maritime Cup quarter-finals, following their previous win against the Nigerian Navy in a 1-0 victory on Thursday, 26 October 2023.

The statement reveals that the NCS team determination to take on the underdogs, Trucks Transit Park (TTP), on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the NPA sports ground, building as they aim to continue their winning streak.

“The quarter-finals are scheduled for Monday, 6 November 2023, where the NCS team will play against either the winner or runner-up of Group C, promising a robust competitive match,” the release stated
