Reclining on Baal
Taking a look through the harmattan haze, I saw the glory of God coming; descending, borne by heavenly cherubs.
Turning 180 degrees, I saw the ignominy of Satan descending, borne by wolves of hade.
And our shepherds ushered in Armageddon without a clue.
Take a look now, showers of ember pour from upturned fountains of ignorance weaned without discipline and direction. Across the land, ironfisted thunder strut there and here without hinder. And my people are drained of hope.
The roads are no longer travel routes in our fatherland. In desperation our Shepherds build for us highways to Afganistan, as they set up clusters of guardian idols of self-destruction. Yes, regional militias that are weaned in Somalia and Yemen.
But I tell you, these shepherds are infantile reclining on Baal. Listen, like in Somalia, Afghanistan and Yemen, guardian idols’ bloodthirstiness are never satiated by spoils, only the sinews of the nation’s soul will do.
