The national women basketball team, D’Tigress, takes giant step to qualification to the 2015 Afrobasket championship following a 20 points win over their Ivorian counterparts in Abidjan.
The Nigeria women won the match 71-51 at the end of the encounter. D’Tigress won in all the four quarters played, winning the first quarter by 17-8 points and the second quarter by 20-18 points.

The third quarter was not different as they also won by 18-13 points while they picked the fourth quarter by 16-12 points.
Meanwhile, the second leg of the encounter will be played tonight at the Palais du Sport in Trechville, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire at 7pm local time. (8pm Nigerian time).
