Nollywood actor Zack Orji has claimed that President Bola Tinubu is the most qualified among those aspiring to become Nigeria’s president in 2027.
The veteran thespian made this known while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the KAA Truth podcast, where he justified his support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
During the interview, Orji praised the President’s reforms and his consistent inclusion of Igbo commissioners in his cabinet during his terms as Governor of Lagos State.

He added that the Nigerian leader’s affinity for the Igbo people is the reason he and others from the South East are backing him for a second term.
While dismissing claims that Igbos only support their own, Orji said, “Among the presidential candidates, Tinubu is the most qualified. He has also shown love to the Igbos, which is why I and several Igbo people support him. From his days as Governor of Lagos State, he has always included an Igbo person in his cabinet.”
Orji, who supported Tinubu in 2023, had earlier shared his personal gratitude for government-funded surgery he received in 2024.
Meanwhile, the actor’s open declaration of support for the incumbent president has since elicited mixed reactions among Nigerians.
