Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday, pledged to mobilize electoral support for President Bola Tinubu in the next election.

He also said he had no regrets about supporting him in the last general election because he was out to ensure equity and justice, adding that he owes no one an apology.

Wike made this known when All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders from his state, led by the party’s National Vice Chairman (South-South),  Mr Victor Giadom, visited him in Abuja.

Speaking during the visit, he said: “I am sure in the next election, those who scored 2,000 would not get 50 votes again because we have nothing to give anybody again because our votes would go for President Bola Tinubu.”

The former Rivers State Governor went on to correct the impression that Tinubu is the president of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) as he insisted that he is the leader of all Nigerians.

He, however, agreed that the president had the right to take the interests of his political party at heart while steering the country’s affairs.

Wike further noted that political parties were vehicles that conveyed one to a desired destination but added that the interests of Nigerians superseded all other interests in the mind of President Tinubu.

He said: “Mr. President, having emerged, is not the President of APC. He is the President of Nigeria. Of course, while he is governing Nigeria, he must also take care of the interests of his political party, no one can argue that. It is natural.

“But when it comes to governance, Nigerians must benefit.”

This comes on the day Tinubu’s victory at the February 25 presidential poll was affirmed by the Supreme Court, in a lead judgment delivered by Justice John Okoro and concurred to by the six other Justices on the panel.
