The ever-busy Warri city in Delta State will witness a three-week tennis clinic for children between the ages of six and 16 from April 7 to 26.
The Chief Executive Officer of Isoblack Concepts Limited, Igho Okor, said the motives behind the organization of the clinic will be beneficial to the children.
“The clinic will help to spread the techniques and strategy in winning matches to young tennis players, especially at the primary and secondary schools levels.
“Apart from the above, most tennis tournaments and clinics as well as seminars are organized in Lagos and as such people in other parts of the country don’t have the opportunity to participate and benefit.
“This has been affecting the development and growth of the sport in the country and that is what we want to correct with the forthcoming clinic in Warri,” he said.
He explained that the clinic which is aimed at introducing the rudiments of the sport to the children at the grassroots will hold at the Shell Club in Ogunnu.
“The talents and potential champions in Warri and its environs would benefit from the clinic at the end of the exercise,” he said.
