Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka has insisted that Nigeria can still qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup despite their poor run in the qualifiers.
He made this known recently during an interview with Oma Sports.
The Super Eagles have won one, drawn four, and lost one of their six games in the qualifying series.
Éric Chelle’s side, who occupy fourth position in Group C, are six points adrift of leaders South Africa.

Despite this, Onyeka is optimistic that he and his teammates can still turn things around and earn a ticket to the mundial.
According to the Augsburg midfielder, all that is required is for Nigeria to win their remaining matches and hope other contenders slip up.
“I know we are in a difficult situation, but there’s still a chance for us. We just need to win our next four games and hopefully we can qualify, ” Onyeka said.
Nigeria will face Rwanda and Zimbabwe when the qualifiers resume in September.
