Vivek Ramaswamy gets Trump’s nod after declaring intention to contest Ohio’s governorship race

Vivek Ramaswamy announced his bid for the race during a campaign rally in West Chester Township on Monday evening

United States President, Donald Trump has thrown his weight behind 39-year-old businessman, Vivek Ramaswamy, after making his intention to contest the Ohio’s governorship race public. 

Several media outfits reported that Ramaswamy, a native of Ohio, announced his bid for the race during a campaign rally in West Chester Township on Monday evening.

Reacting to the development, Trump in a post on his Truth Social account on Tuesday morning, described Vivek as a good person, who truly loves America.

He went on to pledge his total support for the Republican chieftain, saying he will be a great governor.

Speaking via his verified handle, the 47th US president wrote, “VIVEK RAMASWAMY is running for Governor of the Great State of Ohio. I know him well, competed against him, and he is something SPECIAL. He’s Young, Strong, and Smart!

“Vivek is also a very good person, who truly loves our Country. He will be a GREAT Governor of Ohio, will never let you down, and has my complete and total endorsement.”

Ohio’s gubernatorial election is expected to take place in 2026.
