French pundit and former France midfielder Patrick Vieira has said Arsenal’s league game against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium will be pivotal in determining who eventually becomes Premier League champion.
Vieira, an Arsenal legend, made this known on Sunday while appearing as a guest on Sky Sports after the Gunners beat Chelsea 2-1 at the Emirates.
Goals from William Saliba and Jurrien Timber ensured Arsenal’s victory after the Blues levelled the scores through an unfortunate own goal by Piero Hincapié.

The win means Mikel Arteta’s men remain five points ahead of their closest challengers, Manchester City, going into the midweek fixtures.
While analysing the game, Vieira expressed his satisfaction with his former team’s ability to beat Chelsea despite playing below par.
He said: “These are key games that you have to win and it doesn’t matter if you play well or badly; today was one of those games for Arsenal.
“I think the key moment in this season is going to be when Arsenal and Man City play, because after that fixture, I don’t see either team losing.”
