Adeyanju also wondered why Iran was making “too much noise” when it was “such a weak and defenceless country”.

Activist and human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju has mocked controversial Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi and other sympathisers of the late Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.
Speaking via his official X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday, Adeyanju noted that Gumi, whom he described as a terrorist sympathiser, is “crying”.
Khamenei, 86, was killed on Saturday in air strikes jointly carried out by Israel and the United States.
The Iranian leader died alongside his daughter, grandchild, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law, who were also killed in the attack.
The airstrike was part of a large-scale operation in the heart of Tehran, the capital of Iran.
Reacting to the incident, Gumi described the deceased Iranian Supreme Leader as “a lucky soul” who “died in jihad.”
He added that Khamenei died “in jihad against killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere.”

He further said that Khamenei’s blood “will fuel the change in the Ummah,” noting that the Iranian leader stood firmly for justice and didn’t hide in bunkers.
However, Adeyanju, while commenting on the deadly strikes, said Gumi and other terrorist sympathisers are sad that “the demon of Iran” has been eliminated.
He also wondered why Iran was making “too much noise” when it was “such a weak and defenceless country.”
“Gumi and other terrorist sympathisers in Nigeria are crying; the demon of Iran is gone,” Adeyanju said.
He added: “Iran makes too much noise for such a weak and defenceless country. Why is their airspace so weak? The US announced it would attack Iran and still they couldn’t stop all these explosions.
“Why was it so easy for the US and Israel to kill the demon of Iran? And why do Israel and the US have easy access to Iranian airspace to be attacking them at will after all the noise Iran makes all the time?”
