General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, said a prayer on Monday at the Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation held ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Trump will be sworn in as 47th President of the United States by Chief Justice John Roberts during an indoor ceremony in Washington, D.C.
The Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation was hosted at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church and organised by Jim Garlow’s Well Versed World ministry in collaboration with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council. The gathering brought together faith leaders to intercede for the nation and its incoming administration.

He encouraged the church to pursue holiness and righteousness, emphasising their importance in fostering national transformation.
He also prayed during an interview with SRN News on the eve of the inauguration, saying: “Almighty God, You chose to bring President-Elect Donald Trump to Your throne and to lead at this time. We’re asking that your grace will be with him through Your wisdom and Your power. And we pray You will help him remain focused on all the things he’s brought out in his campaign of giving Christ the recognition and the honour that He deserves. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.”
During his visit, Kumuyi met with Robert Pittenger, former North Carolina Representative; Lucas Miles, Senior Director of Turning Point USA Faith; and members of the media.
