Victorious D’Tigress to arrive Abuja on two flights from Abidjan after trophy win

Players and officials of Nigeria’s D’Tigress are expected to depart Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire at 10am on Monday, August 4, 2025, via two chartered flights.
This announcement comes after Nigeria secured a 78-64 win over Mali, claiming their fifth consecutive Women’s AfroBasket title and seventh overall.
As disclosed by an official, the team is expected to arrive at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, with the trophy by 12 noon on the same day.
Afterwards they will head to Aso Rock Villa where President Bola Tinubu will officially receive the team and officials.
It’s however expected that the president will accord them team similar grand reception granted to the Super Falcons for winning the 10th WAFCON title a few days ago
