The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has toned down barely three months after urging the people of his state against voting for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi because the state has to be liberated
Today, Friday, September 9 at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Umahi told journalists that Peter Obi’s movement is a movement that is anchored on equity, justice and fairness.

Umahi, a member of Nigeria’s ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC), in June this year during the swearing of five commissioners, said: “We will not vote for Labour Party, we will only vote for APC. Our vote is for APC and not for Labour Party. Our agenda is Ebonyi agenda. We will vote for our presidential candidate in the person of Tinubu. We must strive to liberate Ebonyi State and that is our agenda.”
But at the Presidential Villa this afternoon, Umahi said: “Peter Obi’s movement is a movement that is anchored on equity, justice and fairness. It may not translate to outright win because I must defend my party, I must wish my party well.”
