Saka had to be taken off during the first half of the Gunners’ 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in Germany and was replaced by Eberechi Eze.

The 25-year-old forward fell to the pitch without any contact after trying to provide a cross-field pass to a teammate.

Reacting to the incident, Arteta noted that the Three Lions forward was having a good game before picking up the injury.

He said, “We lost Bukayo who was having a great game and we had to adapt.”

He, however, admitted that the early signs were not looking good, but added that he and his team would wait for a more comprehensive assessment before reaching a conclusion.

Arteta added, “We are a bit concerned. Whenever a player has to come off with sharp pain, it’s never good news, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
