Bayern Munich boss, Thomas Tuchel has admitted he’s unable to sleep ahead of Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) quarter-final clash against Premier League champions, Man City.

The Bundesliga club after eliminating French giant, PSG on a 3-0 aggregate score line in the rounds of 16, now face the Citizens in the first leg of the UCL last 8 encounter.

Tuchel was sacked by west London club, Chelsea in September 2022, but took over from Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern in March 2023.

In a recent chat with TribalFootball, the German tactician revealed he has not been able to sleep because of the UCL encounter.

“The best preparation is sleep but sometimes it is hard to get that sleep when you’re thinking about things.

“This morning I woke up really early and I just decided to go to the training ground because I couldn’t get back to sleep,” Tuchel said.

The former PSG boss also said he cannot rely on his experience from previous games against Pep Guardiola.

“It’s unique what Pep does. We’ll try to find solutions but we’ll need a complete performance to create problems for City,” he added.
