Northern traders get Trader Moni
By Juliet Nwite
Traders in the northern part of Nigeria have expressed their joy as the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), also known as Trader Moni, gave them a loan to power their business without interest.
The Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme(GEEP) is a means that the Federal Government came up with so as to empower the petty traders who don’t have money to boost their business, and the collateral to access bank loans.
Petty traders and artisans across Jigawa, Kastina and other Northern part of the country received the loans without having to pay interest on it at the time of repayment which is one year.
Nigerians are happy about the empowerment of the GEEP to the petty traders.
Some of the photos shared on Twitter reflected the mood.
“Zamfara state a large amazing of traders expressed joy for the programme they have earnestly waited for. It was a massive big relief for the petty traders.”
