Singer Tiwa Savage and husband, Tunji Balogun a.k.a. Tee Billz, celebrated the anniversary of their wedding on Sunday, November 23.
Yeah, that’s right; they are still together. And that is to those who flew the kite barely months after that the superlative luxury wedding which took Dubai by storm that the whole thing had packed up and what was left was just the shell.
Social media became the template upon which to gauge the lovebirds long before they said ‘I do’ and bloggers feasted on every rumour to do with their break-up, obviously to draw traffic – from Tee Billz not being accountable as regards the actual performance fees he receives on Tiwa’s behalf and the alleged domestic violence.
But the couple stayed mute through it all. That is certainly one way to keep a marriage intact. If nothing else, the pictures and messages they shared on social media from the anniversary debunk all the rumours.
This hallmark first anniversary does more than say that the couple is still going strong; it also shames all the people who have been waiting to celebrate their break-up. From the look of the love radiating from both their eyes, they may well just prove that celebrities can fall in love, marry and stay together. In any case, which marriage is perfect?
