Tierney may leave Arsenal in the summer, says CBS journalist, Benge

Tierney has made a total of 23 appearances across competitions this season, scoring one goal and providing an assist, but started only 12 games

CBS journalist, James Benge has revealed one of Arsenal’s left-backs, Kieran Tierney could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium next summer.

According to Benge, the Scottish international wants to leave the north London club due to a lack of playing time under Mikel Arteta.

Following the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City in the summer, the Scot has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates.

The 25-year-old has made a total of 23 appearances across competitions this season, scoring one goal and providing an assist, but has started only 12 games.

Benge said there is a growing belief at the Emirates Stadium that Tierney will leave the Gunners

“There’s a growing expectation at Arsenal right now that Kieran Tierney could move in the summer.

“I don’t think Arsenal would push him out the exit door. But now he’s not a guaranteed starter. I think that if the right offer comes in, all parties are thinking this is something that might happen, not guaranteed,” he said.

Tierney who was bought from Scottish club, Celtic in 2019 has had a tough time since signing for Arsenal because of injuries.
