SWEEP Foundation, LAWMA, ILO host Lagos Waste Forum for cleaner environment in Ikeja

In bid to maintain cleaner, healthier environment, SWEEP Foundation in collaboration with the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) and International Labour Organization (ILO) will host the 4th Lagos waste forum from Monday to Tuesday in Lagos .

In a statement made available to TheNiche, the facilitator Ambassador Phillips Obuesi said the Forum promises be a great opportunity for public and private sustainability practitioners to network, learn new skills and acquire necessary resources and information to drive the future of circularity in Nigeria.

In collaboration with soft drink beverage company Coca-Cola, Obuesi said greater awareness for cleaner environment is necessary for healthy leaving which also engenders economic growth in communities, LGAs, States and Nigeria in general.

The Waste forum which is targeted at creating awareness among Lagosians and citizens in States and the World at large would be discussed by distinguished resource persons invited from parts of the world.

Obuesi insisted that to achieve cleaner environment Nigerians must have information and skills that would enable them pursue an egalitarian society, clean and environmentally friendly where wastes are properly disposed by experts in the business.

The president of SWEEP foundation also said the two day Lagos Waste forum would take place at NECA House, Alausa Ikeja, Lagos by 10 am. as participants would first be accredited.
“Together, we can beat pollution,” he said.
