Super Falcons with the win have now won their last four WAFCON group encounters, scoring 10 goals without conceding.

The Super Falcons edged past a determined Botswana team in a Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Group B clash played at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco on Thursday.
Substitute, Chinwendu Ihezuo, scored an 89th-minute winner as Nigeria claimed a 1-0 victory, sealing a quarter final place in the process.
Prior to the goal, Nigeria had an opportunity to take the lead, but Ashleigh Plumptre fired wide under pressure.
Toni Payne then failed to convert her effort after the ball fell to her following a good work from Asisat Oshoala.

Ihezuo, on at halftime as one of three changes, got an early headed chance from Plumptre’s delivery but lifted her effort over the crossbar, while another substitute, Jennifer Echegini almost made an instant impact.
The Mares’ resistance was eventually broken with a minute of normal time remaining, when Okoronkwo fired a low cross into the six-yard box and Ihezuo was on hand to turn the ball into the net.
Nigeria with the win have now won their last four WAFCON group games, scoring 10 goals without conceding..
Botswana on the other hand are yet to kept a clean sheet at the finals, and are currently on a five-match losing streak at the finals.
Their four defeats at the finals have all been by a one-goal margin.
