Super Eagles striker, Umar Sadiq buys Kaduna club, Ranchers Bees

Ranchers Bees won the WAFU Cup in 1993 and produced the likes of Daniel Amokachi, Dominic Iorfa, and Davidson Owumi.

Real Sociedad forward, Umar Sadiq has become the new owner of Kaduna based club, Ranchers Bees after completing the takeover of the Nigeria National League, (NNL) outfit.  

The 28-year-old striker, who is a Nigerian international, acquired the club along with top Kaduna politician, Bello El-Rufai.

After completing the takeover, the duo named Sadiq’s former teammate, Nura Abdullahi, as the club’s new president.

Ranchers Bees will push for promotion into the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) next season.

The club was a household name in Nigerian football in the early 90s.

Ranchers Bees produced top players like Daniel Amokachi, Dominic Iorfa, and Davidson Owumi.

They also won the WAFU Cup in 1993 and went into oblivion afterwards.
