Sudan defender, Farres Abdullah has said he and his teammates can win Tuesday’s 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) crucial Group D game against Nigeria.
He made this known while addressing journalists ahead of the encounter.
Sudan began their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Congo last week Tuesday.
The Home Eagles are the overwhelming favourites to win today’s game going by the quality of players in their team, and pedigree as well.

Despite this, Abdullah is optimistic that they can upset Eric Chelle’s men and qualify for the next stage of the competition.
“Nigeria is one of the strongest sides in the tournament, but we believe we can go deep in this competition,” he was quoted by CAFonline.
Kwesi Appiah’s side occupy second position in the group with one point alongside Congo.
Nigeria are bottom of the group with zero points following their narrow 1-0 loss to defending champions, Senegal.
The Home Eagles might be heading home after the group stages if they lose today’s match and Congo fail to beat Senegal.
