His words, “We are partners in progress with the journalist group and we will continue to be partners to tell people what we are doing and at our side here, any assistance that will promote the maritime in general, we will continue to partner with them and the journalists are not exempted, that are not to be taken for granted because they play a major role and with people like that, we don’t have a choice than to partner with them.

“They are indirectly telling us that we are doing well and we will continue to do well.

“My principle is that I don’t like talking but there are lots of things we are doing underground but when it comes out, people will see it.

“We have already made up our minds to change the narrative and put a lot of things in place for people coming after us and to use it as a yardstick to judge themselves

“The award is a good one, it will surely propel us to do more. It is an encouragement when you are doing things and people are appreciating them, it means they want you to do more but when you are doing it and nobody is talking, it means they are not seeing what you are doing.

“On our part, welfare of workers is out priority, we are waiting as the federal government had said by April next year, it is an opportunity for us to negotiate well for another salary increase. We will not joke with that opportunity because it may be out last one here on this seat and anything we do, posterity will judge us. So, we have to do it well.
