Afrobeats singer, songwriter and actress, Simisola Kosoko, simply known as Simi, has disclosed that her favourite thing about Nigeria is the spirit of its citizens.
She made this known recently while featuring as a guest on the latest episode of the 90s Baby Show.
While expressing pride in being a Nigerian, the mother of one said she wished Nigeria was a better country.
The ‘Joromi’ crooner went on to assert that if the country was functioning well, its citizens wouldn’t be migrating to other countries en masse.

Speaking during the interview, Simi said, “My favourite thing about Nigeria is just the spirit of Nigerians. You can’t replicate it.
“Nobody else can be a Nigerian other than a Nigerian. Even when they are faking African accents in Hollywood movies, they never actually fake a Nigerian accent.
“They always fake East African and South African accents. Being a Nigerian just feels like home.
“That is why I wish the country was better. Because I feel like no one would want to leave.”
