Siasia, however, added that for that to happen, the players and their manager must bring their A game to the remaining qualifiers.

Former Nigeria international and coach, Samson Siasia, has said the Super Eagles can still secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, despite winning just one game in 6 matches.
He made this known recently while analysing Nigeria’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.
Eric Chelle’s men have endured a difficult qualifying campaign, managing just one win from six matches.
They sit fourth in Group C, six points adrift of leaders South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, with four games remaining.
When asked if the Super Eagles can still qualify for the 2026 World Cup, Siasia said he is confident they can turn things around.

He, however, added that for this to be realized, the players and their manager must bring their A game to the remaining matches.
“Everything is still possible, but it’s how to get it done.
“Both the players and the coach have to now bring their ‘A’ game to these matches and it should be a game at a time.” Siasia said.
Super Eagles will host Rwanda’s Amavubi at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on September 6.
They will then travel to Bloemfontein to face South Africa on Tuesday, September 9.
