The marriage rites were conducted at the Shehu of Borno’s palace where the bride, Fatima was represented by Governor Zulum of Borno, while the bridegroom, Ibrahim, was represented by former governor of Bauchi, Ahmadu Muazu.
Meanwhile, Tinubu announced Shettima as his running mate on July 10 while addressing journalists in Katsina following a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari and Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari.
On July 20, the party officially unveiled Shettima as its vice-presidential candidate for the 2023 polls at a ceremony which was overshadowed by the attendance of men in bishops’ attires claiming to endorse the APC Muslim-Muslim ticket.
