Human rights activist and former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has suggested that former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar will emerge as the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congres (ADC), saying it will be difficult to defeat him during the party’s primary election.
He made this known on Thursday in a now trending post he shared on his official X page.
According to the former Senator, it is easier for a “camel to pass through the eye of a needle” than for Atiku to lose a primary election.
He further noted that party delegates in Nigeria are “special breed of people”.

Speaking via his verified social media handle, Sani wrote, “His Excellency the Waziri reportedly said he would step aside if “a younger candidate wins the primaries.”
“The key word here is PRIMARIES…it’s easier for camel to pass through the hole of a needle than to beat the Waziri in primaries… Party Delegates are special breed of people.”
His comment came after Atiku was quoted to have said he will withdraw from the 2027 presidential race if a younger aspirant clinches the ADC presidential ticket.
The 2023 Peoples Democratic Party presidential (PDP) presidential candidate has since clarified the statement, saying he was quoted out of context.
