Afrobeats singer, songwriter and actress, Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, better known as Seyi Shay, has confirmed rumours that some Nigerian artists joined the controversial secret society, “Illuminati”, after admitting she was once a member.
She made the confession while featuring as a guest on the latest episode of the ‘OffAir’ Podcast with Gbemi and Toolz.
According to the ‘Yolo Yolo’ crooner, her involvement with the Illuminati was just a phase in her career.

“That’s when I was in the Illuminati. That’s when I joined the Illuminati. That’s when it was official. Do you understand? I was an Illuminati member,” Seyi Shay said.
The 39-year-old singer went on to explain that while fans may not know much about such connections, people within the entertainment industry often recognize those who were once linked to the group.
“It’s not the fans, guys. It’s the people in the industry… the ones who work with me, work with her, work with that one.” she added.
