Stand-up comedian and actor Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law, has dismissed claims that he was prevented from exchanging pleasantries with the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, recently.

The comic actor dispelled the rumour via a lengthy video shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) page.

The dramatic moment, which sparked reactions, reportedly occurred on Saturday, 2 May 2026, during the traditional wedding of the daughter of veteran Nollywood actress Sola Sobowale.

Reacting to the innuendos, the comedian, who is a known supporter of President Tinubu, shared a video of his actual encounter with the governor as they greeted.

He went on to allege that his detractors had shared the earlier, shorter clip solely to push an agenda against him online.
