Afrobeats singer and instrumentalist Seun Kuti recently set tongues wagging online after storming out of the white wedding of TikTok sensations and influencers Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, and Elizabeth Amadou, also known as Jarvis.
The artist angrily left the ceremony, which was held on Saturday, 1 August in Lagos, after a controversial remark by the event’s MC.
Celebrities who graced the wedding included Fuji legends Kwam 1 and Sule Alao Malaika, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, Nollywood figures such as Iyabo Ojo, Eniola Badmus, and Aunty Ramota, plus content creators Geh Geh and Cute Abiola, alongside socialites like Cubana Chief Priest and King Ochacho.
According to reports circulating after the wedding, the MC allegedly cracked a joke suggesting that Wizkid is bigger than Seun’s father, Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

In the trending clip, which did not capture the comment, Seun—who was among the notable attendees—seemingly took exception to the joke and weaved through the ornate, chandelier-lit hall before making his way to the exit.
The singer, who was dressed in the event’s designated outfit, told those near him on his way out, “We are in the wrong place.”

He recently clashed with Wizkid’s fan base, otherwise known as Wizkid FC, after they declared that the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker was the greatest Afrobeats artist in history. The feud later escalated after he accused Wizkid of failing to caution them.
