A Constitutional lawyer and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) Dr Tunji Abayomi has pleaded with the residents of Lagos State to vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the 2023 general election due to his landmark achievements in the state.

Abayomi in a statement on his Facebook page titled The Way Things Are, said Sanwo-Olu deserves a second term in office due to his administration’s huge infrastructural development in the state.

“By what we have seen so far, the governor is actually giving us what we want and it is pleasing. We are grateful to this worthy son and leader.

“Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a good child of his parents, a compassionate thinking Governor. One of his many efforts to reduce our stress in Lagos is the substantial reduction of tax on the taxable properties of the aged or ageing in Lagos State.

“Let me say here that the Over 70 and their children will VOTE massively for Babajide Sanwo-Olu because we are appreciative of the landmark achievements you brought to bear, your distinction between politics and governance in Lagos state is legendary.

“Ageing is a natural process that can barely be retarded by all our efforts to remain young. When we grow into the final quarter of life usually after 70, everything begins to go down. We may be lucky to retain our mind and cognitive capacity but even with intense exercises and exertions, the physical body begins to give way.

“In a normal situation the few responsible governments in our Nation care for the aged or ageing through pensions. But who cares for the large population of independent workers who in their ageing years have little to depend on,” he said.

Abayomi, therefore, called on children in Lagos State who have attained the age of 18 to support Babajide Sanwo-Olu with their votes because Sanwo-Olu cares saying “It is a way of showing how we appreciate him.”
