Ruger on Tuesday, February 6, announced his exit from Jonzing World records owned by music executive and singer, D’Prince

Popular Afrobeats singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known as Ruger, has denounced loyalty to “godfather,” saying 2024 is all about himself.

He made the cryptic statement in a news song, days after exiting Jonzing World records owned by ace-music executive and Don Jazzy’s younger brother, D’Prince.

Announcing his exit from the label four days ago, the ‘Asiwaju’ crooner in a post on his Instagram page, said he was grateful to Jonzing World and D’Prince,  but added, that it is time for him to take a bet on himself.

However, in a new freestyle song titled ‘Blownboy’, released under his personal owned Blown Boy Entertainment, the singer officially denounced godfatherism, asserting himself as his new boss.

Speaking via the video posted on his YouTube page on Friday, Ruger said: “I denounce every loyalty to some godfather, this year I’m about me.” (sic)

The singer went on in the now-viral song to say he is currently reconciling with those he fought with in the past.

“I’m now settling with the ones I fought with. I’m not fighting all the n*ggas I f*cked with,” he added.
