British pundit and former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has suggested that Aston Villa will eventually miss out on a top-five finish in the Premier League.
He shared his views while predicting which teams are likely to secure Champions League places during the latest episode of Stick to Football.
Ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, Arsenal (67) sit in first position, followed by Manchester City (60), Manchester United (51), Aston Villa (51), Chelsea (48), and Liverpool (48).
Arsenal host Everton at the Emirates, while City travel to the London Stadium to face relegation-threatened West Ham United.

Manchester United will entertain Villa at Old Trafford, Chelsea welcome Newcastle to Stamford Bridge, and Liverpool face Tottenham Hotspur.
Predicting how the teams will finish in the league this season, Rooney said: “I think Man City, Arsenal and United will finish in the top three.”
The Red Devils legend added: “I’m not sure about Villa. I think Chelsea and Liverpool will complete the top five and Villa will miss out.”
Five English teams are expected to qualify for next season’s Champions League, given the performance of the clubs representing the Premier League in European competitions this season.
