Europa League: Moffi scores, Sanusi bags assist in Porto’s 2-1 win over Stuttgart

Moffi opened the scoring for Porto in the 21st minute of the European contest, played at the MHPArena in Germany.

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi found the net on Thursday night as FC Porto beat Stuttgart 2-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 encounter, played at the MHPArena.

​The Nigerian international, who is on loan from Ligue 1 side Nice, opened the scoring for the visitors in the 21st minute.

It was the forward’s second goal since joining “The Dragons” in January.

​Meanwhile, Moffi’s international teammate, Zaidu Sanusi, set up youngster Rodrigo Mora for Porto’s second goal just seven minutes later.

This second strike, coming so soon after the first, ensured the Portuguese side took a vital lead into the next leg.

With this contribution, Sanusi has now registered two assists for Francesco Farioli’s side this season.

​The return leg of the European tie is scheduled for Thursday, 19 March, at the Estádio do Dragão.
