RMD arrives India for new movie project

RMD and other Nigerian stars such as Sola Sobowale, Rahamah Sadau and others are expected to feature in the movie collaboration  by Bollywood and Nollywood

Ace Nigerian actor, Richard Mofe Damijo better known as RMD has given his fans and fellow Nigerians yet another reason to be proud of him after taking to social media to make an announcement. 

The veteran thespian took to his Instagram page to share a video showing the moment he arrived in faraway India for a new movie project.

The upcoming film, which is a collaboration between Nollywood and Bollywood, is also expected to feature other Nigerian stars such as Sola Sobowale and Rahamah Sadau.  

In the now-viral video, RMD captured the moment he stepped out of his car to a group of traditional dancers and drummers who were there to welcome him.

The movie star was also decorated by some Indian ladies before he was led to his hotel room. 

After the clip made its way online, fans of the actor and Nollywood colleagues took to the comment section of the post to hail him.

An IG user ebonyobasuyi said: “Daddy where are you in India? Am coming to welcome you to .” 

Another internet user, chescaclement wrote: “Our very own Amitabh, that Grandpa is fine….❤️.” 

julielakem added: “❤️ Nice! A legendary welcome! Kudos! All the very best from Jamaica! Bless up yuhself!!” 

Another netizen, uzee_usman said: “Globally global daddy.” 

A fellow actor, AY wrote: “Make them small small with this MTN chalk wey them dey put for your head o. Na who be that Kia picanto wey waka follow Ose just now?”

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, aka Tuface has taken to social media to express his love for RMD. 

In a recent Instagram post, the musician shared a picture of the actor and revealed that he has a lot of respect for him.

He wrote: “Tell me who is badder. My love and mad respect for this man. I can’t even. @mofedamijo. Forever Grateful.”
