The return of Nike Oshinowo

-

Nike Oshinowo is one beauty queen that has remained in the face of Nigerians, more than two decades after relinquishing the crown. However, in the past few years, she took time off the social scene to raise a family.

Now a mother of two, she is set to return. This time, she is set to bring her strong personal brand and influence to the small screen for the benefit of the African viewing audience, as she debuts her own TV talk show, ‘Late Night with Nike Oshinowo’, an entertainment and lifestyle show, showcasing the best of art, culture, music, politics and pop culture.

First of its kind in Nigeria for format and content, ‘Late Night with Nike Oshinowo’ will inject life and fun into the weekday evenings of the viewing audience, bringing a vast array of local and international acts and celebrities from the world of arts, cinema, music and politics into the viewer’s living room.

The show will also serve as a platform for industry leaders, politicians, celebrities, artists, actors, and musicians to connect directly to the people of Nigeria through engaging, candid interviews.

An ex-beauty queen, entrepreneur, style icon and philanthropist, before now, she won the franchise to ‘resurrect’ the ‘dead’ Miss Nigeria beauty pageant which, had hitherto, been rested for years. This she did for two years before she got contracted to sail the ship of Nigeria’s Centenary Pageant, which was one of the high points of the nation’s centenary celebration.

Oshinowo’s AOE Events Company partnered with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development on the project.
